It is a combination of our strong client base, wide service offering, our size and position in our core markets, together with the talent of our people and our shared values. We are focused on quality and really care about building trusted and long- lasting relationships with our clients. This means they can rely on a depth of specialist knowledge and personal delivery from the professionals they work with. Our globally focused outlook also provides us with a strong foundation as a leading firm of today and in the future. What do you see as the key challenges for your firm? With the spotlight on our industry and the continuing political, economic and regulatory uncertainty, I believe we are at a pivotal moment for our profession. I see there being four main challenges: There is a need to rebuild trust in our profession and Crowe has a key role to play. We need to win the war on talent by recruiting, retaining and developing our people in an environment focused on providing a rewarding people experience. New technologies and ways of working need to be embraced. Last but not least, we need to continually adapt to deliver excellent client services, tailored to meet our clients’ needs and achieve their goals. As Chief Executive of Crowe, I see quality at the heart of our strategy as we continue to grow in a profitable and sustainable manner, investing for the future in an ever- changing market. At the time of Crowe’s global rebrand last year the network launched The Art of Smart, tell us a bit more about it Our brand promise to our clients, our people, and society is to assist in the making of smarter decisions that bring lasting value. As part of our delivery on that promise last year Crowe developed The Art of Smart, a deep dive into corporate decision-making, to better understand how decisions are taken across geographies, cultures, and businesses of all types and sizes. A feature of the report, is the Crowe 100 Index, an objective index which ranks corporate decision-making quality using four crucial factors – growth, diversity, boldness, and innovation. By exploring these facets, we seek to provide insight to leaders on how to make better decisions for their organisations. The 2019 edition of The Art of Smart also includes internal and external expert interviews, a comprehensive collection of case studies from around the globe, and source data. What do you most enjoy about your role? I enjoy working in a firm focused on building relationships to make a difference for our clients and our people. I am fortunate to lead such a talented team at Crowe who are working together with so many of our successful and diverse clients.
