51 www.ceotodaymagazine.com CEO Today United Kingdom Awards 2018 ENGINEERING ABOUT DUYGU GOKDUMAN PILATIN Duygu Gokduman Pilatin started her career at Tusas Engine Industries, a GE Aviation joint venture and Turkey’s leading aviation industry company, dedicated to the production of critical parts for commercial and military aircraft engines. She is a challenge-driven professional with 20 years’ experience in Business Development, Research & Development, Procurement, Project Management, Supply Chain Management and Corporate Communications. Duygu has spent the last ten years assuming managerial responsibilities. Duygu holds a BS degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Middle East Technical University and Executive MBA degree from Sabanci University. She worked at ITP Aero in Spain for 4 years in the development program of TP400 Engine between 2003 and 2007, where she gained extensive experience in R&D project management and coordination in a multidisciplinary environment. In 2009, after she returned to TEI-Turkey, she was promoted to Procurement Manager. She managed all of TEI’s procurement activities related to raw material, machined/fabricated parts, consumables, machinery, indirect material and services including supplier selection, contract negotiations and execution, PO/PAs, long term agreements (LTA), deliveries and logistics. She led many successful supply chain improvement projects in regard to cost, lead time reduction, process improvements and new supplier development to support the company’s position in maintaining its competitive edge. In 2017, she and her family decided to relocate to UK. That year, based on her 20 years’ experience in aerospace sector, she founded the EGE Engineering Services and is now providing engineering services to her customers located both in UK and Turkey in project management, cost reduction and business development areas. Duygu has strong strategic management capabilities with highly developed communication skills. She is a hands-on, approachable and flexible professional, and prides herself on making customer satisfaction a number one priority.
